"Come here pretty boy...seems like you gotta opening in your armor...let me "fill" it up."

Thinking of what kind of character I'd have in War of the Roses. [link]
Light armor and a warhammer. Going to open up those pesky full plated knights.

Been pretty busy with commissions and stuff recently, so still alive! :]

I love the colors! I love the Athmosphere! But this Helmet usually is not worn without Plate, ... I'd like to really see this dude with a visorless bassinet or maybe a barbute!
Also he appears to be VERY skinny underneath all that armor. Usually all the apparel makes the soldiers look all puffed up.
I'm not saying I could do better. But I know, from what your gallery tells me, you definitely can! :)
Cheers!

Thanks for the comment.
I painted the armor as it looks in the game War of the Roses. Though I must say that sallets were widely used with or without plate armor, as it was THE most common type of helmet during this period in England. Bascinets started to be a bit outdated fashion, even though they were still in use. I myself don't like the look of barbutes too much, plus they were more common in Italy than in England.
Armor itself is the light armor from the game, and simply doesn't have much armor. He has tights on his legs (and similarly on arms), aketon and a shirt of maille protecting his body. Even though it isn't very historical set up, due to munitions armor and what not.

Yes considering all these factors it really comes down to being a very enjoyable piece of art, and I certainly don't claim to know too much about medieval armament. But a Bascinet might be expected from a soldier of lower birth (or thinner purse) who bought an old, used one somewhere, rather than showing off a fancy state-of-the-art Sallet coming with low-protection body armor. It simply seems unreasonable to wear this little armor on the rest of the body, and have a very good helmet on the hat, as opposed to said bascinet, or say, a kettle-hat. But: Fukkit! You're simply depicting how a player's model might be seen in the game, eh?
Good job on that!
