Some rough paintings of medieval warriors. Focused more on colors and values on these one rather than details and desing. These are quite fun to do

The Viking guy is actually some basic desing of my armor. Might add a hauberk on top of that. I really want to get back to swordfighting and have been interested in viking weapons lately, especially the round shield and it's techniques. They had very sophisticated fighting. Not just rage rush kill. Take a look: [link]
I've been thinking of getting together a small reenactment group themed around early nordic/slavic warriors. Fighting for fun and show.

A very well done piece of art, even if I think that the Rus Warrior and the Viking could easily switch positions, since the Scandinavian people used lamellar armor (called Birka) as well as the Rus used padded armor, chainmail and a large number of Middle Eastern Armor types.

Not to mention that the Vikings or Varangians settled along the Rivers all over the Rus terretory and a strong cultural exchange happened between both cultures.
