Been working on this few nights. I love painting armor. Might do something with these desings.. I've been wanting to have somekind of own fantasy world. So maybe there's more of these dudes coming!

I've been asked to do a tutorial now few times. I'm not too comfortable doing one as I feel like a total noob still, but I decided to take few steps of the process. I hope it helps some one. Here it is: [link]

I listened song called "The Chosen Ones" by Dream Evil like a million times as I was painting this. This is nowhere near as epic as painting with that song's name should be, but I tried to make it justice. Here's the most epic song of all time: [link]

Nice man!

Are there any tips u could give for getting that kinda rusty battered effect on the armour? Did u use a texture overlay?

Thanks! I used texture overlay only for the robe, and then painted on top of it more texture. For the metal I made some texture with few weird brushes and then dodge and burn tool, and then added a bit more color with few overlay layers. Then just painting all the scratches and indents.
